Give us a little background on you... Name, Age, Bike, How long have you been riding?

My name is Burley Yeubanks, and  I turned 9 in July. I got my first dirt bike on my 3 rd birthday, It was a Honda CRF50 but was already begging my Mom and Dad to start racing just after I turned 6.

Do you have a nickname?

I don't really have a nickname really. My parents have called me Mr. Safety because I used to be so careful about everything.

Mr. Safety?! That's what people call me at work! It is in the job title though...

Where do you go to school? What grade are you in? What’s your favorite subject/teacher?

I go to Shook Elementary in Marshfield, MO. I’m in the 4th grade. I like Math and my teacher is Mrs. Hardin.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Why?

I want to be a professional dirt bike rider. I want to be a pro because it’s so much fun!

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not on track?

When I'm not at the track Go to the skate park and ride scooters, skateboards and my bicycle.

How did you get into riding and racing?

We were watching one of the Nitro Circus movies on TV and I just told my Mom and Dad that I wanted to race. Right after I turned 6 years old my parents took the training wheels off my CRF50. The next thing I knew they bought me a KTM SX50. In November of that year I raced my first Arenacross race and we have been hooked ever since!

What is your favorite part about motocross and dirt bikes?

My favorite part is jumping and going fast in the corners. I also like to hang out with all of my buddies at the track.

What is your favorite track?

My favorite track is Possum Hollow in Everton, MO. It’s the closest track to me and I love the jumps there.

Who is your favorite professional rider to watch and learn from? Why?

Austin Forkner because he’s fast and from MO.

You have tried to qualify for Loretta’s this year…. Tell us about that?

Yes we tried, it was hard. The kids in my class are fast and it was rainy and cold during some of my area qualifiers so that made it super hard. At the Regional I went down in every moto and didn’t qualify, I was super bummed about that.

This is your last year on 50’s; are you excited for 65’s full time?

Yes, I'm excited but I don't think I'm as excited as my dad is!

What are you goals/expectations for the rest of this year?

I want to finish the Missouri State MX Series with a couple of wins. My goal is to finish the season with a couple of seconds in my 50 classes and I’m hoping I can accomplish a top three finish in the 65 class. It’s going to be tough but I think I can do it!

What is your plan going forward to 2019?

I want to go do the Texas Winter Series again and I want to chase Loretta’s on my 65 in the 7-9 class.

Who are your biggest influencers both on and off the track?

My mom and dad.

My corner speed has improved which has helped me do better at the races.
